Ricochet Teases Possible Heel Turn in AEW

Ever since his debut in the wrestling world, Ricochet has been typecast as a babyface, quite similar to a superhero. After Ricochet’s recent switch to AEW, fans wonder if a change in aspects of his character will be expected.
Ricochet elaborated on this possibility of a heel turn in a recent interview on The Babyfaces podcast and clarified where he sees himself in AEW. “I like how there aren’t definite good and bad people. Everybody has their own perspective: who’s the bad guy? Is Thanos a bad guy? Some people don’t think so Everybody has their side of the story and how they want to narrate it”.
How I perceive my story now will likely differ from how I will probably perceive it later in life. Ricochet appears to be well-versed in modern-day business in that Reigns had the same outlook but, over time, assimilated into the idea of cultivating heel traits.
He feels that “it’s hard to really get [him] down,” meaning his current take on this character is solid.
Ricochet True Self
Speaking still about his whole persona, he explained that Ricochet, the character, is not just fictitious; it’s an embodiment of his very self.
He wants to be and act on the screen, showcasing his good and bad sides. “What most people have expressed is just an extension of how they see themselves, at least in some situations,” said Ricochet. “I can honestly tell you to shut your ugly mouth and smack your ugly face with me.
At the same time, there are alternative strategies that we can consider employing to avoid it”. Since joining AEW, Ricochet has expressed excitement about his future in the company, offering reflections on both his AEW and WWE careers.
While he’s keeping fans guessing about a potential heel turn, he’s also focused on building a unique journey in AEW, suggesting that his story could evolve.
