Sami Zayn wrecks SmackDown contender match and targets CM Punk

WWE used its taped Aug. 28 SmackDown to leave CM Punk without a confirmed next challenger.

Finn Bálor, Gunther and Kevin Owens fought in a Triple Threat Match for that opportunity, but Sami Zayn’s interference produced a no contest and turned the championship picture into a four-man conflict.The closing angle gave Zayn the strongest visual. He attacked Punk as well as the three contenders and ended the show standing over the entire group with the championship belt.
