Sky Sports were forced to apologise when Nottingham Forest captain Joe Worrall swore during an emotional post-match interview – after his side’s Championship play-off success.
Steve Cooper’s Forest side secured a place in the Premier League next season after beating Huddersfield 1-0 at Wembley, with Levi Colwill’s own-goal separating the sides.
In the delirium of victory, captain Worrall forgot to adjust his language and described Forest’s form as ‘s***e’ in previous seasons.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Worrall said: ‘Like I keep saying we’ve been really good, not just this season.
‘I’m not saying we’ve been good in the past seasons because we haven’t.
‘We’ve been s***e but it’s been a long time coming at this club.’
The Sky reporter was then forced to light-heartedly apologise and say: ‘Joe it’s understandable with your emotions but we must apologise for your language there.’
