Ryan Giggs kicked his ex-girlfriend Kate Greville in the back ‘so hard she fell off the bed’ and to the floor, jury members in the former footballer’s domestic assault trial today heard.

Under cross-examination by Giggs’s lawyer, Ms Greville, 36, told how the pair had rowed during a stay at the Stafford Hotel in London in December 2019.

Ms Greville has previously alleged that during the incident she was thrown out of their room by Giggs, who then ‘threw a laptop’ at her head

The PR executive previously told Giggs’s trial at Manchester Crown Court that the defendant also threw her naked into a hotel corridor in September 2017.

It comes as she was quizzed by Giggs’s barrister about her decision to continue her relationship with the ex-footballer, despite her claims of physical and mental abuse.

Christopher Daw QC also questioned her decision to move into the ex-Wales winger’s £1.7million mansion at the start of lockdown in March 2020.

But a tearful Ms Greville said she was ‘ashamed’ of the decision to ‘keep going back’, telling jurors: ‘It was a cycle of abuse that he promised the world. He was very convincing, he could be very charming.
