Stefanos Tsitsipas shares he was left “mesmerized” by Paula Badosa when he first saw her during the 2020 Australian Open and that was when he predicted that one day they would one day be a couple. 

After the Spaniard was spotted in the stands for one of the Greek’s 2023 French Open matches without a clear reason and knowing that there was no any history behind them, fans instantly started speculating if they were a new tennis power couple. And the answer to that question was given shortly after the two went on a trip to Dubai and officially confirmed their relationship by launching a “Tsitsidosa” Instagram account. 

Early in their relationship, Tsitsipas and Badosa used to post and share a lot about their relationship through social media. Lately, they have become more secretive about their whereabouts but one thing hasn’t changed – they still speak very highly of each other in every interview. 

Now, the 26-year-old has revealed something new about their love story. 

“It’s funny, but Paula and I never really met during tournaments. In fact, we might have only met two or three times before I actually got a chance to go up to her and say hello and introduce myself. I would say the first time I noticed Paula was when I saw her at the 2020 Australian Open, playing on Centre Court. It was love at first sight and I was completely mesmerized from that day on. I remember thinking to myself that one day we would be together,” Tsitsipas told Hola.

Tsitsipas and Badosa briefly split but no one did anything wrong, they said

On May 5th, the 26-year-old Spaniard announced through a message posted on her Instagram Story that she and the Greek decided to go their separate ways. In what looked like a very respectful message, she also said that they would remain friends and on good terms.
