Backstage Stories from his Time in NXT and Journey to WWE


Dean Muhtadi, ring name Mojo Rawley, underwent a specific journey from NFL to professional wrestling. He was previously a football player and worked with many teams such as Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals and made a transition from football player to NXT in 2012. He later became famous from name of Mojo Rawley and introduced himself as an empowering personality who captivated people by his influencing energy. 

NXT was a challenging atmosphere where talented trainers and WWE executives will guide new wrestlers to grow their skills. He explained the working days at the performance center of WWE that were too busy during training sessions. Hard and tough promo classes and in-ring training was especially designed for emerging wrestlers to prepare them for the main show. He worked along with the main trainers and made sure it was real and genuine. 

Mojo’s Way to WWE

After career strange injury, football hopeful encouraged him to change his career. Mojo Rawley often had conversations about wrestling. Although football was his love, he always enjoyed watching wrestling. After recovering from injury after 18 months he thinked of choosing another platform like wrestling. Senior figure of the Gronkowski family supported him in the way of wrestling and opened up the doors for him. 

After that he appeared in first event of WWE that was a live show. In-ring actions made Mojo realize that it was something that he wished to experience. In May 2013, he made his first WWE debut that led him to main roster in 2016.

Muhtadi had another experience of companionship in NXT. He offered Locker Rooms to emerging WWE Stars showing mutual support and companionship. In this way he held an opportunity to exchange his ideas and experiences with them.
