LET Access back in Sweden with four Italians


Fourth and final race of the season in Sweden for LET Access, which offers the Destination Gotland Ladies Open scheduled for August 14-16 at the Gumbalde Resort in Stånga. After the excellent performance with the second place in the previous Ahlsell Trophy by Destination Jonkoping, the amateur Alessia Nobilio returns to the field, having played three races on the circuit in total, also obtaining a third place in the Roma Alps Letas Open (2021).

With her on the field also Marta Spiazzi, Emma Lundgren and the other amateur Carolina Caminoli.

LET Access, schedule

In the field seven of the top ten of the order of merit including three seasonal winners, the Swedes Kajsa Arwefjall (n.

2) and Anna Magnusson (n. 3) and the Danish Natacha Host Husted (n. 4). They will be among the favorites along with the four athletes who follow them in the ranking: the English Billie-Jo Smith (n. 5), the Swedish Andrea Lignell (n.

6), the French Ariane Klotz (n. 7) and the German Helen Tamy Kreuzer (n. 9). Many others, among the 110 starters, the players determined to play a leading role such as the Danish Puk Lyng Thomsen and Fie Olsen, the English Lianne Bailey, Ana Dawson from the Isle of Man and the Dutch Lauren Holmey and Romy Meekers, to name a few.

The prize pool is 40,000 euros with first prize of 6,400 euros. The Ladies European Tour is a professional golf tour for women which was founded in 1978. It is based at Buckinghamshire Golf Club near London in England. Like many UK-based sports organisations it is a company limited by guarantee, a legal structure which enables it to focus on maximising returns to its members through prize money, rather than on making profits for investors.
