AEW Honors Bryan Danielson with Emotional Tribute Video

The night before “AEW Dynamite,” Tony Khan, the AEW president, made a tribute announcement for Bryan Danielson that is set to provide a poignant moment. In fact, this tribute comes at a crucial time as Danielson prepares for his most important match in All In where he will not only compete against Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship but also gamble with losing an outstanding wrestling career.
Therefore it was fitting that Green Day’s “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” was chosen, which happens to be one of Danielson’s funeral songs. The choice of this song brought the deeper connection between him and its reflective notes.
The three minute long homage by Khan himself right before the main event delivered on his promise during last week’s episode of “Dynamite” on Wednesday evening. It did not include any mention of his 10-year tenure with WWE but instead dwelled on various aspects of his career outside of the biggest promotion in the industry.
It consisted of multiple still shots and live videos starting from his days back in Ring of Honor and Pro Wrestling Guerilla through CMLL and New Japan till now as he has been part of AEW for just over three years.

A narrative that went along with these visuals was provided by Danielson, who spoke from deep inside.
Reflecting upon this he said: “It’s not necessarily about the matches”. He looked like somebody who had reached his peak mental form after 25 years in wrestling and now he is ready for anything. Is this event going to be called Final Countdown or perhaps All In? Whether or not it does so remains open to question, however many wrestling fans are asking if AEW All In 2024 will signify an end?
