When the reporter asked her why she had left the Stamford-based company, she replied that she dropped everything because she thought they wanted to fire her: “I left wrestling because I thought I was going to be fired, I felt less and less relevant, I felt so much ashamed.

Kaitlyn left WWE in 2014

Kaitlyn’s decision to depart WWE in 2014 wasn’t an easy one.

The former WWE superstar explained that having those feelings, which led to her not feeling well mentally, led her to leave the world of professional wrestling in a way that she did not like very much. “I had so much resentment towards myself and that I projected outward and like, I was in self-destruct mode.

After her goodbye in 2014, Kaitlyn returned for the 2018 Mae Young Classic: “My time in WWE, it ruined me. However, now I realize that it was because of what I haven’t done anything in wrestling for a long time. I didn’t go back to Mae Young [Classic], and that’s a problem for me, because I like it so much and didn’t know how to do it.

Whenever I was going to make an appearance or sign copies or something or find myself talking about wrestling, I would have these feelings that I didn’t know how to process…
