Bayley Secures Title Shot

In the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, former Women’s Champion Bayley starred in a dramatic Number One Contender’s match against Naomi, her close friend. This win also earned her the right to challenge Nia Jax for the WWE Women’s Championship at the Bad Blood event in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 5.

From the first second of the match, it was clear that Naomi and Bayley hated each other’s guts as they shoved each other once the bell rang. Almost immediately, Naomi got on the offensive, performing a corkscrew over the top rope and taking Bayley down onto the floor outside the ring.

Of course, she isn’t the kind of a girl to stay down for a long time, and she got back up after the commercial break. She took the fight to her opponent and jumped after Naomi, who was still inside the ring, but as she landed and stood back up, she Saw the ensuing Rearview in Naomi’s devious arsenal.

She managed to avert disaster and was somehow kicked out before the three count.

Bayley Secures Victory

The action resumed, with her still trying to perform a dip flip wrestling move on the opponent sitting on the turnbuckle, which was somewhat off, and so they managed to kick out twice to a level of disappointment from Naomi.

However, she started turning the tables when she managed to execute the impressive Bayley-to-belly. Gradually climbing the top rope, she ended the contest with an elbow drop onto her opponent, rewarding her with the much-awaited title shot.

The origin of this violent clash can be traced back to the previous week’s episode wherein Bayley and Naomi wrestled with Jax and trusty Miss Money in the Bank, Tiffany Stratton. It was crystal clear that should either Bayley or Naomi manage to pin Jax or Stratton, they are next in line for the title.

However, if their opponents pinned them, they would end their delegation for the episode the two lost on Smackdown. In a dramatic twist of events, both Bayley and Naomi managed to pin Jax simultaneously, prompting the idea…
