Kevin Owens, who recently renewed with the McMahon company, former NXT champion, wanted to have his say on the changes that have been made to the product carried out by the two friends Triple H and Shawn Michaels. “When it’s been so long you know someone, like Seth, I’ve known him for 15 years now, you develop chemistry with that person after all those years. With Seth, it’s different chemistry, because chemistry like the one we have right now, we didn’t really know we had that.
We knew we could do good matches and provide good wrestling together, but we never really had a chance to do some back and forth like this, so it’s fun to realize that there’s something there,” said Owens.

In fact, speaking to Pat Laprade and Kevin Raphael’s Les Anti-Pods de la Lutte, Kevin Owens said that NXT is so different now that they should have even changed its name. “Today’s NXT is very different from the NXT I was a part of, to the point where I think it should have a completely different name.
I don’t think it’s better or worse, but it’s just too different. So when I look at NXT, I don’t see the NXT I was a part of. Is not the same thing. It’s kind of like the Ring of Honor. The ROH of the old days and the ROH of now is no longer the same.
So for me, they are two completely different products, so when I look at it, I put myself in the mindset that we had when I was at NXT and the mindset that it seems to have now is completely different. It is very difficult for me to compare them.
