Why there is no match for The Rock in wrestlemania 41

With WrestleMania 41 just on the horizon, fans are beginning to guess about the matchups and one of the people missing from the lineup is Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson, who Is not confirmed to show up at the event.

In October of the year 2024, The Rock was reported to have told the WWE that he would not be attending WrestleMania 41 owing to scheduling issues. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that he could not attend Mania and had already said that he cannot do this match.

All of the accusations were denied by The Rock himself. In response to an Instagram “When will you be attending WrestleMania” he simply replied, “Don’t believe any of that bulls**t.”

Evidently, he denied all claims of attending mambo and it’s clear that WWE is still moving further regarding his attending specially when Rock is attending Wrestlemania 41. Reports suggest that the organization is proceeding with reaching the future events while considering the fact that the Rock will not attend WrestleMania 41, but have left open a margin for change in case his timings allow him.

Potential Matchups in The Rock’s Absence

As there are chances that he might not attend WrestleMania wwe is seeking new headline matches. A clash between John Cena and the current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is likely to take place. Cena is rumored to be on the lookout for a championship title in order to beat the tie with Ric Flair for the most world title reigns which stands at 16.

A challege for Rhodes is set to be another tough match against Cena which would in returning serve as one strong match for the event.

Another possibility is CM Punk being in line to go head to head with Roman Reigns. Because of the events in Survivor Series: WarGames, some people are hinting to a possible match set for WrestleMania 41 between the two. The story of the two challenging each other would be stronger in case The Rock wouldn’t be there.
