Cody Rhodes Praises WWE Booking as ‘Best Thing Ever


Over two years have passed since Cody Rhodes, known as “The American Nightmare,” returned to WWE. This period was highlighted by his reign as Undisputed WWE Champion, back-to-back Royal Rumble wins, and consecutive WrestleMania main events under the creative guidance of Triple H.

Lately. Rhodes has been discussing the booking process at WWE on Busted Open Radio. Rhodes is very grateful for the writing team that has supported him throughout his second stint with WWE. Triple H, currently serving as WWE’s Chief Creative Officer (CCO), played a significant role in making much of it positive for him.

“I hated writing staffs before because they probably hated me too,” Rhodes revealed. “However, at this time, I truly cherish both facets of our partnership. It is extremely useful when one of your chosen wrestlers/performers – a guy like Triple H who has gone all the way to the top in this field actually runs things”.

He then analyzed what separates Triple H: “This person came from up there where wrestling tastes like champagne”. We are now going into the third year of Triple H, where we are involved in creative direction at WWE, and I think it has been an incredible advantage.

SummerSlam’s Dramatic Defense

At SummerSlam recently, Rhodes defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa in a Bloodline Rules match. However, these did not come without any drama. Out of nowhere, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton came forward to assist, while Roman Reigns made a surprising return by interfering with The Bloodline, hence enabling Cody to defeat Sikoa.

Narrating on the complexities within the wrestling world and the importance of developing storylines, Rhodes emphasized the concord between veteran wrestlers holding corporate positions and creative team members.“It’s about knowing how hard it is from both sides,” added Rhodes.
