Team USA staved off any potential threat of a Rest of the World comeback to triumph in the inaugural Icons Series in New York City this week.
Australian superstar Ash Barty got her team off to a strong start on Day 2 with a singles victory over former NFL star Andrew Whitworth, after Team USA opened up a five-point lead on Day 1.
However, the Americans won eight out of the 12 singles matches in the Big Apple to tie up a comfortable victory, winning by 21.5 points to 11.5 points.

‘It was a lot of fun out here with Andrew today, got to know him a little bit more,’ Barty said after he singles win. ‘I played well, which is always nice and hopefully the rest of the boys out there can do the job. Our team isn’t going to go down without a fight and it feels good to starts us off well.
‘It’s been an incredible week, incredible experience to get to know iconic athletes from all around the globe, they are the very best at what they do.
‘It’s a beautiful setting, beautiful golf course and incredible series. It was a lot of fun and it was nice to come here and really enjoy it….
