Dinard, the second oldest course in France

The second oldest course in France, the Dinard golf course, designed by Tom Dunn in 1887, has stood the test of time. It is still today at the top of the list of courses to play at least once in your life, because it is steeped in history but also because it is one of the few pure links courses in France.
Dinard, history

After the war, the course hosted major competitions. Its clubhouse, classified as a historic monument since 2015, is full of renowned trophy galleries (today you can still find the cup won in St Germain by the French ladies’ team during the first women’s amateur world championships in 1964 or the medal of the winner of the British Amateur conquered by Philippe Ploujoux at St Andrews in 1981).
The discovery of the clubhouse from the inside, with a breathtaking view from the large bay window on holes n°8, n°18, on the driving range and of course the Dinardaises pages, is intoxicating. But not intimidating as some select British clubs can be.
