The 2025 Royal Rumble will electrify fans Saturday, Feb. 1, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indy. Two high-ticket events, a 30-man and a 30-female competition, form the annual spectacle, both featuring wrestlers competing for a shot at a high-ticket role in a headliner at WrestleMania 41. With buzz for the spectacle in full swing in the wrestling universe, a variety of entrants have been confirmed, with rumor-mill speculations about surprise guests creating even more buzz.
Some of the biggest performers have confirmed that they will enter in the Men’s Royal Rumble, with a record 17th shot at a world title riding on a farewell tour-bound John Cena. CM Punk, having recently re-emerged in WWE, will join him, and an even heightened level of intensity will go into competition. Others confirmed for a shot at competing include Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Logan Paul. Having such big-name performers enter will make for a competitive atmosphere.
Surprise Contenders and Women’s Division Highlights
The Royal Rumble is renowned for its surprise entrances and first-ever in-rings, and a lot of buzz about who will make a one-off return in the Men’s competition, with AJ Styles one such name rumoured to make a return having been out with an injury layoff. Other one-time titleholders such as Kurt Angle, Goldberg, and even Hulk Hogan have been rumoured for a return, but nothing concrete yet.
The Women’s field is no less talented, with Nia Jax, Bayley, Charlotte Flair, Naomi, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Lyra Valkyria, Ivy Nile, and Iyo Sky confirming attendance. Flair’s return is most significant, with one of them a strong odds-on favourite for a win, and opening doors for a headliner at WrestleMania.
