Collin Morikawa flop at Hero World Challenge
In the Bahamas Collin Morikawa does harakiri and wastes the chance to become, for the first time in his career, the new number 1 in world golf. In Albany (on the island of New Providence), the Hero World Challenge goes to the Norwegian Viktor Hovland who, with a final lap closed in 66 (-6) out of a total of 270 (68 69 67 66, -18) strokes, in his career from third position and celebrates his fifth professional career title.
Overtaking (despite a bogey in the final) the American Scottie Scheffler, second with 271 (-17).

What a mockery for Morikawa. In the tournament – unofficial of the PGA Tour – organized by the Tiger Woods foundation, the 24-year-old from Los Angeles collapses in the last round (partial of 76, +4) and, thanks to two double bogeys and as many bogeys (two birdies were needed for nothing ), is fifth with 274 (-14) like Justin Thomas and also behind Sam Burns and Patrick Reed, both third with 273 (-15).
And to think that the Californian at the end of the “moving day” boasted a five-stroke advantage over Koepka, only 9 / o with 277 (-11). A triumph in the Bahamas was therefore Hovland.
