Holger Rune’s current coach Patrick Mouratoglou shared what are the top 3 most emotional moments involving Roger Federer in his opinion. “Even the GOAT can shed a tear. Check out 3 of @rogerfederer most emotional moments on tour,” Mouratoglou captioned the video.

“Here are the top 3 most emotional moments from Roger Federer. These are my picks, starting from number 3,” Mouratoglou says in the video. The three moments chosen by Mouratoglou are: (3) Federer’s children arriving on centre court (Wimbledon 2017 final); (2) Nadal comforts Federer after his loss (Australian Open 2009 final); (1) Federer’s farewell (Laver Cup 2022).

What made Federer special, per Mouratoglou

Coach Patrick Mouratoglou believes Roger Federer plays the game in the most elegant way possible and believes there will never be another Roger in terms of technical ability.

When other players discuss Federer, they frequently say he made tennis “look easy.” “I think Roger is the best ambassador for the game, because he plays tennis the way everybody would love to play tennis,” Mouratoglou said on Tennis Major’s “Eye of the Coach” “Nobody has ever played tennis like Roger, and nobody will ever play tennis like Roger – it’s impossible because it is just too perfect to be matched.

He is the absolute perfection in everything he is doing – the way he moves, the way he hits the ball, because he was giving the feeling all the time that he was hitting the ball with absolutely zero effort. Everything is fluid, easy”.

On another occasion, Mouratoglou called Federer a genius. “Roger Federer is an absolute genius. I don’t remember ever seeing anyone play tennis like him. He is an inimitable player from all points of view. Everything he does is perfect.”
