2022 Masters predictions, odds: Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, Tiger Woods picks from computer model

If Hideki Matsuyama can finish on top of the 2022 Masters leaderboard, he’ll become the first golfer to repeat as champion since Tiger Woods in 2001-02. Matsuyama will have to stave off a number of serious 2022 Masters contenders if he wants to rewrite the history books, however. Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth are among the major champions looking to dethrone Matsuyama and win the Masters 2022.

The first 2022 Masters tee times at Augusta National Golf Club are on Thursday, April 7. The 2022 Masters odds from Caesars Sportsbook lists Rahm as the 9-1 favorite, with Spieth (12-1), Collin Morikawa (12-1), and Justin Thomas (12-1) next in line. Matsuyama is 28-1 to repeat on the PGA odds board and is battling a back injury. Before locking in your 2022 Masters picks, be sure to see the golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

SportsLine’s proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, it’s up over $8,200 on its best bets since that point, nailing tournament after tournament.

At the 2021 Open Championship, McClure’s best bets included Collin Morikawa winning outright even though he was listed as a massive 40-1 long shot. In addition, McClure’s model was all over Jon Rahm’s (10-1) first career major championship victory at the 2021 U.S. Open. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the weekend, but the model still projected him as the winner.

This same model has also nailed a whopping seven majors entering the weekend. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now that the Masters 2022 field is taking shape, SportsLine simulated the event 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected 2022 Masters leaderboard.
