Shawn Michaels Struggles Guide Future WWE Stars

WWE’s Talent Development Senior Vice President, Shawn Michaels, is flourishing in his present role. He is determined to prepare the next generation of in-ring performers. However, Michael’s journey to this position was not smooth.
In the 1990s, though, he also had a professional life to balance alongside drug use and heavy partying while maintaining a reputation for being difficult. Recently, Jeff Jarrett talked about his co-worker from WWE New Generation days Shawn Michaels during an episode of “My World”.
In that podcast Jarret went on to explain how his friend’s past mistakes have contributed positively in shaping his current business activities. “I mean I am going to call them valleys or low points if you will whatever you wanna paint it as but those are the things that made Shawn who he is today,” said Jarrett.
“Because he can look a young talent in the eye and say ‘Hey man I ain’t BSing you let me give you these examples … don’t be stupid like I was.’ Like literally all of his losses have been converted into strength”.
In the mid 90s, Michaels was able to become one of those main event guys who often abused their superstar status. His wayward party lifestyle and other underhanded means were used by him to curry favor with others.
WrestleMania Struggles
Michaels’ low point came around WrestleMania 14.
Reports indicated he was contentious and uncooperative in the build-up to his match with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. There were concerns that “The Heartbreak Kid” wouldn’t do business that night. This prompted The Undertaker to tape his fists in the gorilla position so that Michaels would stick to the script.
Also, Michaels nearly died because of their addiction to prescription painkillers. When he became a born-again Christian during this period of darkness, it gave him a reason to live again and also marked a brighter side of life.
