Yahoo Golf Talk: HPE Houston Open

[ad_1]

The PGA TOUR’s fall schedule is slowly winding down but we should keep our eye on the prize this week as they head to Memorial Park Golf Course for the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Houston Open.

The course received a complete renovation by Tom Doak and made it’s post-renovation debut last year. The winning score ended at just 13-under so it is expected to be a tough test.

There are often golfers that enjoy traveling to Texas. It could be the wind or the firm turf, but whatever it is, let’s try to look at some historical stats to see who fits that mold.

Gary Woodland
Marc Leishman
Charley Hoffman
Tony Finau
Ian Poulter
Sebastian Munoz
Kyle Stanley
Maverick McNealy
Shane Lowry
Russell Henley
Stewart Cink
Sepp Straka
Kevin Tway

Perhaps that is why Leishman decided to add this to his schedule this year. Or maybe, he just wants to strike while the iron is hot as he arrives with top 5s in two of his last three starts. Either way, Leishman look to be a high-upside option this week while being priced in the…
