New update about Bronson Reed injury

WWE Superstar Bronson Reed was seriously injured in the Men’s WarGames Match at Survivor Series on November 30, 2020. In a high risk maneuver Reed performed his signature Tsunani Splash from the top of the WarGames cage hoping to incapacitate Roman Reigns. Yet, thanks to CM Punk’s interference, Reigns managed to get out of the attack and Reed crashed through a table, breaking his ankle. 

Reed had surgery to repair the injury after the event. Afterward, reports have stated that the procedure was more complex than first predicted and the recovery time has been longer. Medicals indicate Reed will be absent for as much as a year, meaning he could miss some key events such as WrestleMania 41. 

Bronson Reed Rehabilitation and Road to Recovery

Social media has given Reed an outlet to actively keep fans informed on his customer recovery process. He recently posted on Instagram a photo of him, lying down with his injured foot bandaged up and elevated, declaring that he cannot bear weight on this limb. ‘This has been a very frustrating time to be immobile, but I am not getting on this. I still haven’t given up hope and I still have time to return,’ Reed said, expressing his frustration. 

It’s a crucial time in Reed’s career as he had come on strong with momentum on Raw. His recent beefs against top tier talents like Seth Rollins and Braun have placed him as a force to be reckoned with in WWE. Reed has obviously taken a big setback, but there is every indication that he’ll return even stronger once he is fully recovered.

Despite Reed’s absence, WWE has not made any official announcement regarding what will happen on his return. His recovery is something fans, fans and analysts alike are keenly watching because his return is going to be something that affects narratives that are going on in WWE programming.
