Inside WWE’s Secret Strategy for Rhea Ripley’s Surprise Raw Comeback

On the wrestling-themed reality TV show “WWE Raw,” a former female world champion made a shocking return to WWE. The ex-queen Rhea Ripley had not been seen since April when she injured herself while fighting Liv Morgan for the belt she won at WrestleMania 39 and was forced to give up.

In her absence, Morgan claimed the title that once belonged to Ripley. The covertness of Ripley’s reappearance heightened the intrigue. She was hidden somewhere on site all night, it is said even from most other wrestlers.

According to PWInsider Elite sources, she was kept separate from everyone else in WWE during the event. She was brought to the gorilla position only seconds before her music hit, having been snuck around privately until then apparently they may have gone so far as to fly her on the company jet straight from one of their Florida tapings to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada just for this purpose; which would be similar to what they did with CM Punk’s surprise return a few years ago when he popped up very much unannounced.

While away from work in the ring these past few months, Rhea Ripley has hardly been idle. In June, she returned home to Australia where she got married to longtime boyfriend and current AEW star Buddy Matthews during his own brief break from All Elite Wrestling programming.

Now back at WWE with SummerSlam being so close you can almost taste it on your tongue’s tip, Miss Ripley is full of vengeance and determination mixed together like gasoline and fire. She wants not only what was taken from her but also some answers and perhaps retribution against both Morgan for ruining everything this isn’t just about getting back into shape or showing people who forgot how good she used be at wrestling: It’s personal now too; because if anyone thought that Rhea wouldn’t go after every last one of those things when given chance then they haven’t been paying attention.
