Willow Nightingale Sends Message To Thekla And Mercedes Moné: “You Mistook My Smile As A Weakness”
Willow Nightingale is back and is ready to prove that the “worst day of her career doesn’t have to define the rest of it.”
On the July 11 episode of Collision, Nightingale spoke about her return from a brief injury last Wednesday where she became the number one contender for the AEW Women’s World Title. She won a Casino Gauntlet match and will face the current champion, Thekla, at Redemption on July 26. The winner of that match will defend the title agains the Owen Hart Cup winner, Mercedes Moné, at All In.

Nightingale addressed both women who had a hand in an attempt to embarrass her upon her victorious return. And she intends to face Moné after she defeats Thekla at Redemption. She says they both have mistaken her smile as a weakness.
She was joined by the AEW Trios Champions and fellow Conglomeration stablemates. They are known for carrying their titles in their backpacks…and Nightingale has one of her own now.
Thekla responds with her own recorded promo. She says she only trusts herself, Skye Blue, and Julia Hart and everyone else is an enemy. She sends warnings to both Moné and Nightingale. Thekla says Moné has seen what she does to Presidents (STARDOM’s), so imagine what she would do to CEO’s. And as for Nightingale, she says maybe she would have already been AEW Women’s World Champion if she wasn’t acting like a baby instead of a real woman like herself.
A trios match was booked for Dynamite this Wednesday as Nightingale met up with Maya World and Hyan. They will be taking on Mercedes Moné and the Divine Dominion.
